Caring for your children's teeth

Today’s dentistry is so much more relaxed.

Between us our ambition should be to see them through to their maturity without the need for fillings. This will depend on your oral hygiene instruction in the home, their diet and in particular their sugar intake. As their back teeth erupt we will look at sealing the grooves and fissures where most decay starts and through regular visits we will monitor any overcrowding and potential abnormality as their permanent teeth form.

For those children who are contact sports minded we will actively encourage the use of mouth guards to protect their teeth from injury.

Children are encouraged to attend from an early age so that if ever treatment becomes necessary they will be familiar with the surgery
